Round1:

As the match started Gotti threw the first jab but Mayweather was untouched. Mayweather showing his fighting prowess threw body shots and jabs and started to come into non-combat posture with his hands down sometimes.

Round 2:

This round was little happening from the audience’s point of view. When Mayweather threw some shots and the referee thought he was landing hooks to the back of Gotti’s head, he paused the match and warned Mayweather but Mayweather got annoyed and challenged his judgment. Mayweather started saying ‘get aside’, ‘Move’, and ‘Shut up’. When the new referee came to take over Mayweather smiled a little.

At the start of round 3, the audience near the canvas seemed to cheer “Gotti” “Gotti” “Gotti”. Mayweather rained a series of punches on the Gotti but he survived the round. Mayweather started enjoying the match and he even showed his tongue outside.

Both fighters were very patient and tried to save their energy for the end. Apart from once or twice, they did not engage. In the end, they had a nice round-ending hug.

Rounds 5 to 7

Mayweather started his signature shoulder around defensive style and it looked like Gotti really wanted to do but he seemed clueless. Gotti was constantly looking at the referee. He seemed to be complaining. Mayweather threw some good body shots and Gotti replied with the same. No one was going for the knockout. Both were trying to show as if they were dominating the fight.

Round 8

Mayweather started raining punches at Gotti. He was constantly using his body weight but the defense of Mayweather is impregnable. At the end of round Gotti again complained about the jab at the back of his head and the referee also told Mayweather to avoid it. Mayweather was initially outraged but later he started laughing. Gotti also tried to show that he was not scared of him and he tried to kiss the Mayweather.

Mayweather seemed to dominate the fight throughout. Gotti tried hard to show his skills. At the age of 47 Mayweather showed what he is made up of. This match finished by hugging unlike their previous one which had a lot of confusion at the end and turned into real chaos. No winner was declared as it was only an exhibition match and not to be shown on professional record.
